In this lesson from freeCodeCamp's Applied Visual Design section we look at the fixed value for the CSS position property. The CSS we can apply through the fixed position is similar to that of the absolute position. We learn that the big difference from position: absolute, is that the element wont move when the user scrolls. We are also told that we must consider other elements when using the fixed position because other elements dont know that any adjustments were made. Using the fixed property requires that we pay extra attention to our documents layout for proper styling.
